Making a difference

We’re driven by the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” and supporting our local community brings this to life in important ways. Through volunteering, partnering with local non-profits, developing financial education programs, and providing financial support for causes that impact our communities, Advantis strives to enrich and strengthen the communities our members and employees call home.

Community Volunteering
Our employee-managed Community Involvement Committee provides donations and organizes monthly group-volunteer opportunities throughout the year to help our employees connect with local non-profits, and share their skills and passions.  Learn more about Advantis in the community

Personal Volunteer Hours
We encourage our employees to volunteer for projects that are important to them personally, and we provide full time employees with eight hours of paid time annually to volunteer. Employees can use these hours in support of nonprofit organizations or by volunteering at a K-12 school.

Charitable Match
The Charitable Match Program is just one of the ways that we reward the generosity of our employees. When an employee donates to an eligible non-profit organization, we proudly match their charitable gift, up to $100 annually.

GROW: The Advantis Community Fund
GROW: the Advantis Community fund is an annual $50,000 grant fund established to help Portland’s neighborhoods grow stronger—one project at a time. GROW awards nonprofit organizations with funding for local projects, helping those organizations improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. Learn more about GROW
