What Does Advantis Credit Union Do With Your Personal Information?

personal information; the reasons Advantis Credit Union chooses to share; and whether you can

How does Advantis Credit Union protect my information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Advantis Credit Union collect my information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you
  • Open an account or show your government-issued ID
  • Apply for a loan or provide account information
  • Make deposits or withdrawals from your account
We also collect your personal information from others such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.
Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only
  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes –information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
Definitions
Affiliates
Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.
  • Advantis Credit Union does not share with affiliates.
Nonaffiliates
Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and
nonfinancial companies.
  • Advantis Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to
    you.
Joint Marketing
A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market
financial products or services to you.
  • Our joint marketing partners include insurance service providers and investment
    service providers.
ADVANTIS PRIVACY POLICY – ADDITIONAL TERMS FOR ZELLE USERS
When Advantis will share your information with Zelle. We will share your information with Zelle if you if you sign up to use Zelle to transfer money to or from you Advantis checking account. Advantis will share your information with Zelle in order to facilitate those transactions. You are unable to limit sharing of this information.
 
Sharing of your contact information with Zelle. When you sign up to use Zelle, Zelle will ask you to share your contact information with them. You are not required to share your contact information in order to use Zelle but doing so may make it easier to identify friends and family to send money to.
