Advantis Credit Union

I have never been able to find another bank that competes with Advantis on SO many levels. First, I get 2.5% interest back on my checking balance (Fusion checking) every month, last day of the month like clock-work. Second, ANY and I mean ANY, ATM I take money out of will not cost me a penny because Advantis will reimburse the cost of the ATM fee that that other ATM charged me. Third, in order to qualify for all these things, you only have to log into online banking ONCE a month, use your debit card 12 times a month - easy and opt to receieve e-statement. Finally, how many banks can you walk into, hand over $500, $1000 or even $3000, tell them your bank code and say "I don't need a receipt" and by the time you get to your desk again the deposit was made safe and sound. I always trust my bank, but I trust this bank even more because I trust the people that work there.

And I should clarify the mis-representations made in the other posts: Advantis is also the ONLY ATM I've ever used that will spit out increments of $5. Need $5, you got it. Need $25, you got it. Anna B.'s post is totally outdates and irrelevant. They also have a coin machine that is "no cost" to the members.

Full disclosure: I've banked with Bank of America, Chase and WaMu -- and on the record, they all suck and gouged me in some form or another every.freakin.month.

Great auto loans, Advantis is quick to lend. The difficulty for me is I live in Eugene and when it came time to close my account it was a pain in the butt. They reached out and I gave them a poor score on an internal review. I was immediately contacted by a manager the next day. The rest of the process was smooth as butter from there. Thanks for taking the time to make me feel important as a customer. You earned my business in the future. Thank you for the "country like" service this past week:)

when advantis started moving to remote teller i know it was going down hill, when they closed the downtown branch i stopped bank there, now the lloyd branch is closing and my partner will be closing both her account and business account

The best of the best. Super friendly and helpful. Go above and beyond. So pleased to be "banking" with Advantis and I got a fabulous rate and service on a car loan too. Highly recommend.

I've been with Advantis for over 20 years. Greg Taylor works at the downtown location, and he's the reason why I stay with this credit union. He's trustworthy, dependable, and he takes the time to get to know people. He guided me through my first car loan with Advantis, and even though the loan is paid off, Greg still asks how the car is running. I'm the only person I know who actually enjoys going into a financial institution to do business in person, and it's because of the wonderful staff at this branch. I feel lucky to be a member of Advantis.

Have been banking at Advantis for years. They are wonderful. Pay a really good interest rate on Fusion Checking and when we mess up they have had our back by reversing fees. We have a home mortgage with them, and the loan is serviced through Midwest Loan Services. We are not happy with their customer service and have had multiple occasions where they have messed up. On one occasion, Advantis stepped in and made it right. Bottom line -- GREAT place to bank, not so great for a home mortgage.

Don't have an account here, and frankly wouldn't want one. Needed a $50 for sons birthday present, so I went to the ATM and got 2x20, and 5s. Went inside and tried to exchange for a general Grant. The doofus there was full of attitude, when he didn't have anything else to do.
Customer service is how you attract customers, it is not a chore like doing the dishes.

I opened an account at this location yesterday, April 13, 2021. I was welcomed to the branch by a teller. I had made an appointment with Alex Wills, Senior Member Advisor. The branch manager greeted me and walked me to Alex's desk. Alex was amazing as I had a large check I wanted to put in an account and save and not have access to it as I often spend money quickly. He understood and showed me several ways to invest the money. He took the time to explain all my choices and I felt great putting my finances in his hands. I have long been a customer of a large bank and felt that Alex really cared about my money and helped me understand all that Advantis could do to help me with my money. He is quite an asset to the Company and should be recognized for all his knowledge and caring about my money and being a new customer. Great customer relations!!! Thank you Alex! I was so happy when I left!
